Terms of Service (Two-Sided Marketplace)

2. Two-Sided Marketplace Model

JARDD operates an on-demand logistics marketplace connecting independent package senders (“Senders”) with self-employed courier service providers (“Couriers” or “Riders”). JARDD acts as an intermediary technology platform facilitating dispatch, location tracking, and secure payment collection.

3. Sender Obligations & Prohibited Items

Senders agree that all items dispatched via JARDD must strictly comply with UK law. The following items are strictly prohibited:

• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or hazardous chemicals
• Firearms, weapons, explosives, or ammunition
• Stolen property or counterfeit currency
• Unsecured perishable food items or live animals

4. Courier & Rider Independent Status

Couriers operating on JARDD are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, or partners of JARDD LTD. Couriers retain complete freedom regarding when, where, and how long they choose to go online and accept dispatch requests.

5. Payments & Marketplace Fees

All financial transactions are processed securely via our encrypted payment system. Payments for delivery requests are authorized upon booking confirmation and settled automatically. JARDD retains a 15% platform commission to cover software dispatch, GPS tracking infrastructure, and insurance, paying out 85% of delivery fees to couriers.

6. Goods In Transit Insurance & Liability

Every valid booking includes Goods In Transit insurance coverage up to £1,000 per delivery against physical loss or damage caused by proven courier fault during transit, subject to timely claim submission within 48 hours of dispatch.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
